The Milinder farming story begins in the former Yugoslavia and Switzerland in the 1960's.
In Yugoslavia the "Mili" part of the story is written with Jozo Milicevic leaving his family, friends and home hoping for a better life. Without telling anyone, he crosses the border into Italy with two acquaintances and ends up on a boat to Australia. He works numerous jobs throughout Australia, but finds his bride in the small country town of Dimbulah, in Far North Queensland, where they have four sons and purchased a tobacco farm. In the 1990's the tobacco industry is deregulated and a new crop is sought. That's when our first tea tree was planted.
Around the same time the "Inder" part of the story begins in Switzerland where Alois and Agnes Inderbitzin also decide to move to the other side of the world with their young family with the same goals in mind. They move to New Zealand and later Australia where they purchase a dairy farm.
Fast forward to 2012 Michelle (Alios and Agnes Inderbitzin's granddaughter) meets Ante (Jozo and Jelena Milicevic's son). After the second date, Michelle knows he's the one and in 2014 Ante makes her his bride. Together they purchase a property in Mutchilba where they grow limes and share farm Jozo and Jelena's lime and tea tree farm.
